Participation guidelines

The AI Declaration is a public commitment object, not a petition or a campaign. These guidelines keep it credible and safe for everyone who signs.

Signing

• You sign as an individual. A signature does not bind your employer or any organisation.
• You confirm the details you provide are truthful and your own.
• Signatures are verified by email before they appear publicly.

Commitments

Displayed commitments are moderated. We may hide or decline a commitment that is:

• Hateful, harassing, or abusive.
• Spam, a sales pitch, or link farming.
• An unverified claim made on behalf of an organisation.
• A personal attack, legally risky, or clearly automated nonsense.

Organisations

Organisations are shown for identification only. A signature represents the individual unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Withdrawal

You can withdraw your signature at any time from the update or withdraw page.

These guidelines may be refined as the declaration grows, always in the same spirit: keep it human, keep it honest, and keep it safe to put your name to.
